ZRP TRAFFIC COMMITS TO IMPROVING RELATIONS – LAUNCHES 11-POINT PLAN

From Road Users Association’s engagements with Senior Assistant Commissioner Tayengwa over the last few months, we believe he is sincere in his intentions. We note that one of the points in the 11-point plan, is the display of name tags, which Tayengwa motivated for and initiated earlier this year …

We suggest that in the spirit of a renewed Zimbabwe, Traffic HQ be given the opportunity to implement the 11-point plan before we pre-judge the outcome. RUA will monitor behavior at checkpoints when they return, and will ensure that Traffic HQ gets regular feedback from the roadside, whether negative or positive.

  • Section 302 of the Constitution requires all revenue of Government to be paid into the Consolidated Revenue Fund. The 11-point Commitment Plan fails to address this long-term omission for traffic fines
