NBSZ: RESULTS OF THE EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING, 2 FEBRUARY, 2018

Quoting from the notice issued by NBSZ:

“The number of members in attendance was fifty three and some of them had proxy forms. A section of the members tried to take control of the meeting and refused to keep quiet. They kept on talking and voicing their views on other issues for several hours. The result was that the meeting went on until 8 p.m. and it was then closed. The resolutions referred to above were not put to the vote.

In the light of this development, the Board will put in place mechanisms to engage members at each of the five Branches in order to address areas of differences. The Committee of each Branch will give the Branch members notice, agenda, date and venue of the Branch meeting.”

It appears a minority of members prevented constructive engagement on the issues, however RUA welcomes the Board’s decision to reach out to its members to address any differences.
